Nja Onê (Pronounced “EN-jah OH-nee”)
Nja is a professional artist of numerous disciplines recognized by the National Endowments of the Arts and proclaimed the First Woman Muralist for the City of Las Vegas beautification project. Born in The Bronx, New York, lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and now resides in Globe, Arizona.
Fashion and Jewelry Designer, owner of The Art of Nja Onê Gallery & Showroom Ms. Onê has created designs for Vegas Performers, Theater Groups, and Entrepreneurs. Art Educator through the Artist in Residence Program for the Clark County School District and Adjunct Professor for the Arizona State Community College.
Certified NLP Practitioner, Timeline Therapy Specialist, and Intuitive Therapist Specializing in the Creative Arts for the San Carlos Wellness Center, where Nja wrote the curriculum and facilitated the Intensive Outpatient Groups, and 12 Step Program Groups. Currently, as “The Therapist to the Therapists” Nja continues to provide a safe healing place for clients both online and in person within her private practice.
Nja provides individual, children, family, couples, as well as group psychotherapy (talk therapy) and specialize in creative therapeutic techniques to meet the clients’ goals for a successful outcome. A variety of diagnoses and challenges can be serviced which include but not limited to: Depression, Anxiety, Autism, Developmental Delays, as well as Parenting, Relationship, and Communication Issues.
Creative Arts Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of art, music, dance, poetry, and more to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship.
Through creative arts involvement in the therapeutic context, clients’ abilities are strengthened and transferred to other areas of their lives. Creative Arts Therapy also provides avenues for communication that can be helpful to those who find it difficult to express themselves in words.
